| What is POI? |
| We get asked regularly what a POI is and why they would need one on their sat-nav units. A POI - is simply a "Point Of Interest" - this differs from a postcode, address, co-ordinates or favourite on your sat-nav in that it is built in. It also can hold some other useful information such as a phone number, description, road name and primarily a company or shop name. It also differs in that you don't have to tap in any information (like with a postcode) you can just bring up a list of POI's and then select the one you need. |
